Where to go for those perfect photos of doors and flowering windowsills?

My main objective in traveling to Europe is photography. I have lovely photos from Brugge, Alsace, St. Paul-de-Vence, Tuscany, Lake Como, Venice, Paris, and the Cotswolds. This spring I'm heading to Amsterdam for the tulips and again to Brugge for a few nights...well, because it's so darn beautiful. I have four unplanned nights between Amsterdam and Brugge and am thinking about heading to Paris or Luxembourg, or maybe just staying within Belgium and the Netherlands.

Where would you suggest I plant myself for four nights to get those beautiful door shots? Somewhere I can get to easily on the train. After flying from California, I don't want to deal with any more airlines. I'll be flying RT into and out of Amsterdam (on points--would have preferred flying into Amsterdam and out of another city, but that was all I could get for the dates I can travel).

Thanks, all.

As I could remember, the old towns of Haarlem, Delft and Leiden, all within short train ride from AMS, all have lovely doors.

It is not within easy reach of AMS, but the most interesting and colourful door frames I have ever seen are in Tunisia.

Mostly I am topping this for you. But I have to admit I always love those photos in Ger's posts.

You have to go to San Sebastian, Spain in the future -- I know the place is totally "overphotographed" but it sounds like you'd approach the place from a different perspective and get some unique images.

Too bad you aren't going to Oberammergau...

Vienna and the small villages along the Danube, such as Spitz, Weisskirchen,Grein, or Durnstein. Vienna backstreets have some of the best doors, especially if you get out into Dobling or Heilegenstadt.

The doors and windowboxes in Provence in the Luberon villages are spectacular!

However, wherever you choose, you will find much gorgeousness!
