Where to get new hairdo in Berlin?
 

Two of my sisters will be travelling to Berlin next May. As a special surprise, one of them would like to help the other into a new hip(but not totally weirded out) hairstyle. Can anyone recommend a salon which wouldn't frighten away two language savvy MN women? I'd much appreciate your advice.

Can anyone give me at least a couple of places we might look into? Thanks!

I'm not sure if the Berlin branch of Galleries Lafayette has a salon or not, but if it does, that's where I'd go. If you see someone behind the desk at your hotel who has a hip hairstyle, you might ask her where she goes.

I believe the monsterous dept store KaDeWe has several beauty salons as well as a hair salon.

Several people pointed me there to get my hair cut a few mo ago when I was in town, but I ended up just popping into a neighborhood barber shop I passed on the street.
