most beautiful place ever is Palazzo Sasso in Ravello. One step below heaven Positano is too commercial.

Someone e-mailed me directly regarding a posting that I had placed earlier in 2002 regarding my wedding in Venice, which will take place in September 2003. The person wanted me to post on the "Italy Wedding" discussion the details of my wedding coordinator and the logistics involved.

I am going through a company called Wedding in Italy also sometimes called Regency San Marino. They coordinate weddings all over Italy. So far, I have been satisfied with their services.

As for the logistics, you will need to arrive in Italy (Florence or Rome) about 3 to 4 days before the wedding to file paperwork. The process is not extremely complicated, but having a consultant makes this aspect much easier. An Italian/English speaking representative from the company will be meeting us in Rome before the wedding to guide us through the process.

Without any doubt, I choose Tuscany...try the tiny village of Marcialla...a wonderful villa, breathtaking views, wonderful food, you will not regret it. A wonderful place for a wedding, or any special occasion...we loved it. All your expectations will be exceeded.

My best friend was married in Positano in March. The pictures were beautiful, looked like a fairytale. Done at the town hall and she walked down some steps for a grand entrance, the flowers around the area were amazing. YI believe she went through italyweddings.com.

My fiance and I are looking at Italy as a wedding destination and the information here has been helpful. We have a problem, however. My fiance has MS and can only walk short distances. He does not use a wheelchair, but he has difficulty on uneven ground. Can anyone help us by recommending a place that is not too hilly and has the kind of services that we would need like carriges, cars, etc. We are also looking for a wedding planner if anyone has any recent recommendations. Thanks!

Positano hands down! I just got married there in Oct 2005. Amazing views, perfect weather in October. More conveniently located than Ravello. Amazing resteraunts, beautiful church. If you have more questions email me at [email protected].

By the way, wedding planners in Italy are much different than those in the US. They definitely help coordinate things which is a must, and mine were helpful and nice, but they are not exactly what I'd expect for the money. But I did not use the wedding planners you are working with. good luck and congrats! PS Beware of hidden "made up" fees. I've been told that many will charge you a lot of money for something that onlt costs them a couple of dollars (like a phone call to a vendor).
