Where to find Woolite in a tube?
 

A while back I read on this forum that someone took Woolite in a tube on her trip to use to hand wash clothing. I have looked at our local grocery stores, and even sporting goods stores (camping equip, etc) and cannot find it. Is there somewhere online where I can order it, or something similar?(preferably perfume-free)

I've never seen it in a tube - but I do have small travel packets of woolite. They come in a box and each one is good for one basin of hand washing. I've always been able to find them in the travel/sample sizes section of large drugstores/big box stores.

AAA sells hand laundry detergent in a small tube and I usually take several along. I have also found them in Europe.

You didn't say where you are going but if it helps, we've been able to find laundry soap in a tube in Europe and in New Zealand. Sometimes it is Woolite and sometimes another brand. Take along a zip-lock bag to pack it in just in case of spills.

I'm pretty sure you can get them at Target/Walmart too. But I've bought mine at Long's (a west coast drug chain), and Walgreens.

I'd think the packets might be more convenient and lighter to pack. You would just need to take 4 or so for a 2 week trip instead, of the whole box/tube and no worries about them leaking.

Gosh, I guess I have simplified things by using the shampoo the rooms often have, the tiny ones. Halfpint

shampoo or bath gel might contain conditioner or moisturizing agent, which might affect clothing.

I've always used hotel shampoo for washing clothes in the sink too. Never a problem. And liquid soap (shampoo or woolite) comes out better than using powder detergent meant for machines.

I just pour liquid Woolite into a 4oz plastic bottle (not full!), same as I do with shampoo and hand lotion. If I use all of it I switch to shampoo. The bottles go in an Eagle Creek plastic bag.

I buy Biowash in a tube at travel stores. I prefer the tube to the packets. With the latter, I save up til I have enough dirty clothes to justify using a packet. With the tube I just squeeze out a small amount or a larger amount as needed.

I also take the &quot;Shout&quot; travel packs/towelettes for spot removal on the road. They work great. Always find them in the grocery store here. Shout and travel packs of Woolite have saved my wardrobe quite a few times.
