Where to Find Bedding and Home Decorating Boutiques on the Left Bank
I will be in Paris in December and would love to look for bedding and decorative items.
About 10 years ago I brought back a beautiful fluffy quilt from a shop, it think either in the
5th or 6th. My recollection was that there were several little streets concentrated in an area that specialized in fabrics and decorative items (ie; exquisite dried flower arrangements).
I will be staying in the 7th and plan to look around the Rue Cler and Rue de Bac area. Also, the big department stores.
Your input is most appreciated!

There are some big home furnishings chains, of course, not sure that is what you are loking for, though, like this one http://www.habitat.fr/stores
There are some higher end design shops in the 12th, arrondisement in the Viaduc des Arts. http://www.leviaducdesarts.com/
DOn't know what street you are thinking of, there are plenty of design and decorator shops in St Germain, such as on rue Dragon or rue Jacob. There seem to be plenty in the Marais, also. Of course you if you want expensive linens, you have Porthault and Frette in the 8th arr. Or you could try Bouchara on rue Lafayette in the 9th (and in the 13th).http://www.maison-deco.com/adresses/...ara-Paris-9eme

Thanks everybody! All most helpful.
I will report back on our trip. We will be in Paris for one week in an apartment, then 4 nights in Alsace ( 3 nights in Riquewihr and 1 night in Colmar) and then return to Paris for our last 3 nights. We will stay in a hotel in the 6th for those three nights.
