Where to eat Paella in Valencia?
Hi! I seem to be running into such mixed reviews about where to eat Paella in Valencia....and I want the seafood type, not the traditional Valencian version with bunny heads! La Pepica is always mentioned, yet when I read reviews on TripAdvisor..there are so many negatives! Any person faves?
Thanks! |
A Valencia native took a group of us here last March, and it was wonderful:

We have eaten paella at La Pepica forever and pay no attention to TA for anything !

thank you elberko...I'm glad you had a good experience there. I had looked at this on TripAdvisor...and it's really interesting how about half the people think it's great and the other half hate it. Guess you just have to take your chances.

Bedar...glad to hear a vote for La Pepica...you're right...have to take those TA reviews with a big grain of salt.
Revulgo..thanks, I'll look into Yuso too. |
You can also check out El Canyar, at Calle de Segorbe 5 (www.canyarrestaurante.com).

Beachfront L'Estimat comes recommended by the Guia Repsol, the Spanish equivalent to the Michelin guide: https://www.guiarepsol.com/en/gastro...1119-lestimat/
So does Robert's recoemmendation Canyar: https://www.guiarepsol.com/en/gastro.../11116-canyar/ And here's a fine intro to the Valencia cuisine from the Guia Repsol: https://www.guiarepsol.com/en/gastro...h-more-paella/ Eight restaurants in Valencia with more than two "soles" (suns) in the Repsol guide: https://www.guiarepsol.com/en/gastro...locality=|5887 |
kimhe...always a wealth of info...thanks!

I've decided to skip paella in Valencia...and eat it in Barcelona! I know, I'm a heretic, but we only have limited time to see Valencia...and i"d rather see it than eat it.
