Thanks for this info. We are 2 adults and a 4 year old. I find the price outrageous for half board.. at the Auberge St Pierre they want 89E per person plus 160 for the room. We are going in next week. I would have thought this to be low time.

I know this post is about food but it seems the lodging there is nothing to write home about as well. I am still undecided.

I ate at the Mercure hotel just outside Mont St. Michel in September 2005:

The pre-sale lamb was superb!. In fact, better than at other restaurants I have at lamb at.

It isn't much to look at, but the food and service is better than you would expect at a chain hotel...

We stayed at Auberge St Pierre but only had breakfast there. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the restaurant where we ate but it is just a bit further up the hill on the same side as St Pierre. Quite a big restaurant with a deck out the front.

We had a fantastic meal there and a really great time! The best fois gras I have ever had.

I loved our stay on Le Mont St Michel, it was a real highlight of our France trip.
