where to camp in Italy?

Hello,

I'm planing to make a trip to Italy in two weeks. I never was in Italy before. My "goals" are Milan, Venice, The Dolomites, Roma and Naples. If anyone was with a tent in Italy before maybe can tell me where I can camp in this period nearby those cities.

Thanks a lot and great weather in your trips!
Iuli

www.hostelz.com lists a few campgrounds in Italy. I stayed at one in Pisa but I spent the night in a camper--not a tent. I was able to walk into the city of Pisa.

For Rome, click on camping -

Not Naples, but in Pompeii, a 30 minute 2E commuter train ride away.

Venice - there is a camp not far from the Mestre (on mainland) train station

Rome - i've camped in Camping Nomotono (sp?) a well-equipped camp a few miles north and with buses to Rome

these camps should be open all year.

For current details on camping Italy consult Let's Go Italy as they list many camps in their city coverage.
