sorry sarge, I can't help you with comparative shoe sizes - it's too complicated to go from Uk to US to european sizing!
but here's someone who can! http://www.i18nguy.com/l10n/shoes.html |
I'm not sure that they have women's 11 in Italy. The largest size I see regularly is 40 - which is similar to a 9.5. A 10 might be a 41. Have never seen larger than that. I would ask in your hotel if there are stores that have larger size shoes,.
But do realize that this varies a lot by make. I have totally given up buying anything except shoes that fasten to the ankle - since the sizes are way too wide and I just walk out of them. (They seem not to have narrows.) |
i agree with nty - finding women's shoes that big in Rome may be difficult as italian women tend to have small narrow feet.
a 43 or 44 is probably what you'll need, if you can find them. nyt - you would not struggle to find shoes for narrow feet in Rome. the only ones i have ever found to fit my broad british feet turned out to have been made in Germany. |
Sounds like good fodder for one of my eventual blogs.. how/where to shop in Rome if you are a plus-size woman with big feet! haha I'll have plenty of time to look!

Hey, according to that shoe guy.. I should move to Mexico. I'd only be a 7-1/2 there! Woohoo!! :))

Well you can try here. They pretty much deliver anywhere and if you're looking for plus size fashion then you can't go wrong with this.
