Where to buy Paris museum pass
 

We will be arriving in Paris via Eurostar from London. Anyone know if it is possible to purchase Paris museum pass in the Nord train station? If not, where would be the most convenient place to purchase? Our hotel is in the St Germaine area. Thanks for the help.

Metro station or the first museum you want to visit

I got mine at the Louvre (which worked out well since they had a special desk - I didn't have to wait in the regular ticket line). I also saw them being sold in the Tower at Notre Dame. <BR><BR>If I recall correctly, they sold them in London at the Eurostar desk near the boarding gates (after security). Do not buy them in advance. There is no need to pay extra. It is so eay to get them when you are in Paris. There were posts here on the same topic

Belinda--I bought the 3 day museum pass and a five day pass for the metro at the metro station St. Germain des Pres.<BR>I like to plan things in advance when I can, but there is no benefit to buying these in advance. The metro station took my credit card for the purchase.<BR><BR>These passes are sold at most of the major metro stations, so if you are going directly to St. Germain des Pres, you will use metro line 4, in the direction Porte d'Orleans. My map is 2 years old, so it may not be the most current, but stations are very well marked.<BR><BR>I have never connected from a train to the metro, so maybe someone else can tell you if the entry to the metro at Gare du Nord has a ticket office that will sell the passes. <BR>

When you get to Paris listen and see if there is any chance of a strike by the museum works. When we were in Paris the works at the Louvre were on strike and they were letting everyone in for free! Later in the day they did start asking for donations for the strikes and anyone who did not donate was Booed!

They would be sold at the Metro station at the Gare du Nord.

Another alternative is the Tourist Information Office at the Champs Elysees.

Can you buy it at CDG? Is it only in one terminal?

Passes are sold at most (but not all) of the metro stations. All the larger stations sell the passes. <BR><BR>For the past few years there has been an on-again off-again strike at the Louvre and also some other museums. This is very unpredictable: The Louvre can be open one day and closed the next. The best thing you can do is have a backup plan of other things to do when the museums are closed.<BR><BR>
