Where to buy a flat iron in Naples?

Hello (especially ladies!),

I travel so often to Europe that I've decided I might as well just buy a hot iron that has the European plug. I'm going to be in Sorrento next week and thought I'd buy one while on a day trip in Naples (if not I can grab one in Rome next weekend).

Question is where? Anyone know the name of the type of drug store like Duane Reade where I can find one? I don't want a super expensive one, just a $40 one. Thanks for any info or advice!

You can find an iron (il ferro da stiro) at the Eldo megastore in piazza Matteoti

At the other extreme from a megastore is an "elettrodomestichi" for small household electric appliances. I bought a hairdryer in a shoebox-sized shop in Agrigento, Sicily.
"elettrodomestichi" could also be the department for such things in a megastore.

Sorry! I guess what you are looking for is a "piastra per capelli." (I don't use one, but take a look at the link.)

You can also get those at Eldo.

I actually think you may have a hard time locating one at an elettrodomestici (no "h" in the spelling). It might end up being a matter of luck, since I don't think the item is quite as much in demand as a hairdryer. but you would have a lot of fun checking them out. But you need to know the name of it.
