Where the London buses go
In case you ever wonder where all those mysterious places are that the buses are going to, here are some people who are working their way through all the bus routes reporting on what they find:

I've often wondered if tourists think that Bow Church, Clapton Ponds and The Swan at Tottenham are really popular destinations as that's where all the buses go.

I love these sites. Have just spent hours wallowing in nostalgia.

Not quite what it was in the days when bus routes ran right from one side of London to the other. You've no idea how romantic and mysterious Hornsey Rise sounded to someone living in Putney.

Remember when the 73 went all the way from Tottenham to Hammersmith? Most of the places I wanted to go were on that route. These days I think it's cut off at Victoria. And the 171 which went from Tottenham to somewhere like Greenwich or New Cross. Not even sure if it exists any more.

The 19 goes from Clapham Junction to Finsbury Pk. That's a long way.
|
Certainly is in the middle of the night....

No. 10 covers some of the old 73 route.

Nice, Patrick. I like it that they sit up on top to take the photos.
