Cruise in June - Malaga, Cadiz and Vigo

There is a Picasso Museum in Malaga, along with a gigantic and old cathedral. There are little cafes and shops around it and its a very nice way to spend a few hours. Malaga is along the Costa del Sol, Cadiz on the Costa de La Luz and Vigo, in Galicia, faces the Atlantic Ocean.

I love Vigo! It's a very modernistic City and now (by tonnage) Galicia's biggest seaport.
Take a taxi from the Cruise Ship Port to the Renfe station and a TRD to Santiago de Compostela, a Christian Holy place where it is said the Apostle James (Iago) is interred.
Returning to Vigo: A few doors down (on your right) as you exit the Renfe station, there's a wine shop. Buy a few bottles of Albariño or Rosál.

Vigo: As you enter the ria de Vigo, on your right (Starbord) side, you'll pass Baiona where Columbus on the Niña made landfall on returning from his first Voyage of Discovery. Pretty good Navigation for the time. He only missed his destination by about 800km. You'll arrive from Cadiz, some 160km south of Huelva, Columbus' point of departure.
Your Cruise ship will probably have a Bus Tour to Santiago de Compostela arranged; so, unless you speak Spanish (or Galego) you might be better off taking that tour.
