Your post is a joke, right, tableronde?? Please say it's a joke!!
First you state you are planning a 10 day trip. And you say you are going to do it all by public transport, not including planes. Then you list TWELVE proposed stops on your trip -- yes 12, count them:
Athens, Paros, Naxos, Santorini, Mykonos, Iraklion, Rethymnon, Chania, the Samaria Gorge, Kalamata, Olympia and Patras.
What the H___ are you thinking???
In 10 days (and I hope you are not counting arrival/departure days), with NO car rental, NO flights, you can possibly do 3 islands if you don't spend any time in Athens and are OK with spending a lot of your too-short time on ferries.
Please don't ask us to advise you on the fantasy itinerary you laid out. Go back, pick THREE from your list, and people will try to help you make the most of them.

TravelerJan: looks like you've provided several useful comments to the Greeek Islands forum crowd, so I don't mind the sharp wit.
I tried to provide some background for what looks interesting along a route that Fodor claims to be feasible in 10 days: start in Athens and end on a ferry to Italy.
You're right, I was looking to down-select. And yes, I hope to find relaxation along the way, forget about the rest of the world.
Maybe you, or other readers, could comment on the key questions posed:
- what does it take in early October to get from Chania (the further point) on to Italy, without returning to Athens/Piraeus; maybe using the occasional ferry service north to Ghytios or Kalamata, then bus + train to Patras
- is the remote southern and western Peloponnese worth the detour, as opposed to the more frequent ferries back to Piraeus?
- would it make more sense, within the time available, to forget Crete altogether and head from the Cyclades to Efplion, then Patras?
Thanks in advance
