"n a Spanish guidebook I saw "La Sagrestia" recommended as the best pizza in Rome. I went there and I don't know if it is the best..but I cannot imagine anything better.By the way, it is at Via del Seminario, just besides the Pantheon."
Wow. That restaurant was right next to a B&B I stayed in. I would pass by it every night, peek in, and wondered what it was like. I had no idea I was right next to a recommended pizza place. I remember seeing their Pizza menu, too....Geez.
Well, I am going to make a point of going there this November when I return to Rome. I'll get back to you on this one...

La Sagrestia was highly recommended to me by the man that owns the hair salon I go to in Miami...he is from Rome and always eats there when he is there several times a year. We are going to try it when we are in Rome in October.

We were having lunch at some rip-off tourist place near the Pantheon and my son (the picky eater one) wanted pizza. It had an asterisk next to it. When I asked, the waiter told me that it was frozen! (He ordered it anyway and it was gross.)
Fortunately, we had MANY excellent meals in Rome, that was just an example of the risks of traveling with teenagers, who when they are suddenly hungry, need to eat NOW.

I just ate at da Baffeto a few days ago and I was definitely not wowed. It was just ok, the wait was long and the staff ambivalent. I have had the great fortune to eat pizza twice in Napoli and nothing has ever beat the two. Da Giorgio in Capri came close a few nights ago.
