You can't post photos here -- but you can post a link to a photo . . .

not this one. No photos. You can upload photos on Tripadvisor, not as part of the forums, though, I don't think, but reviews or something.

IN fact, I'm not sure you can do that anywhere as just part of a post on the forums, but you can as part of your page or reviews or something. Of course there are many websites where you can sort of make your own blog or post photos.

I'm not sure what you want can be done anywhere, and I suspect there are reasons for that as it could be dangerous. YOU can on Facebook, obviously, but that's not a travel forum.

we'll see if anyone else knows of one where you can instantly post a photo in a forum post.

Well, there used to be our dear old Virtualtourist where you could upload photos right in forum posts, but sadly VT has been butchered by Tripadvisor. (Grrr.)

Travellerspoint http://www.travellerspoint.com has photo upload and a blog function - it's probably easiest to try there. Photos appear in your photo gallery and are visible to others even without starting a blog or anything. You'd have to post the link to the photo, though.

I think you can make your profile photo a personal photo. Then if it's a good photo that can be identified not some small thing that looks like nonsense maybe someone can tell you where it is.

You could post a link to Google Drive or Photobucket for now. Eventually this forum will move catch up to the 20th century at least, now that is the 21st, and get software that allows that sort of thing.

The only photo you can post here is by using your profile page to post a single picture.

You can start up a Wordpress blog and put photos on that.

the pics taken on land were identified by the various tourism folks...
but the coming into harbour ones- well they don't go out to sea very often!
