Where is the metro stop in Paris....
 

I can't remember where we were when we were leaving the metro and were in awe of the art on the walls. Was it near Montmartre? It was beautiful!!!<BR><BR>Thanks........... Sue

Sue, I think you are recalling the Abbesses metro in Montmartre. Very unique!

I agree that the one you are probably thinking of is in Montmartre (lots of Paris metro stops have art) but not Abbesses, I think it's Lamarck Caulancourt. It's up the hill from Abbesses. My first time there we walked up the stairs rather than taking the elevator, not realizing how far underground we were. The whole staircase wall was covered in art (and it goes for quite a while). Since then whenever I go to Montmartre I use the elevator - but then you miss the art. The Abbeses one has art also.
