Where is that beautiful place?

Where they shot the hyundai Sonata commercial that is now showing? Looks like a castle and village in France.

I'd like to visit it on my next trip.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Oh, my gosh, Chris, I SAW IT and thought to ask the same thing! The town looked a lot like Bourges, a small town two hours south of Paris where I spent some time in the summers of 1996 and 1998. Some scenes look a bit staged, but the chateau looked magnificent!

Anybody knows?

BTW, if you want to see the conmmercial go to their website http://www.hyundaiusa.com/index.html, select SHOWROOM, and then Commercials from the drop menu, the commercial is the one listed Village. Guesses???

Thanks, Maira, for posting that URL for the Hyundai commercial; I don't think it's being shown in my area. Someone suggested (on the other thread about this commercial that I can't locate now)that it might be Carcassonne. I think that's a good possibility. If you want to compare, look at this site for Carcassonne: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/bbcp/english/index.html
Of course, it could be a composite of Carcassonne and another medieval walled city or even one of the Loire Valley chateaux. BTW, is that the entire commercial or just an excerpt?

It's Carcassonne.

Thanks for the info. I posted this question previously, but it disappeared; could it have violated some Fodors rule?

Anyway - what about the music? It sounds SO MUCH like 'Thick as a Brick' by Jethro Tull - almost identical theme. But it got me thinking - did they adapt the music from jethro tull, or did jethro tull adapt their music from an old folk tune?
