Where is San Antimo?

Saw a fabulous photo by Bob of a church in Tuscany titled "San Antimo". Can you tell me where it is?

It's about 19 km south of Montalcino.

Phyllis,
Is that the name of the town it is in or the church? I can't find it in any of my guide books.

You can Google it on the internet. "San Antimo, Italy.....lots of articles come up,....It is an Abbey, and as someone has said, it is south of Montalcino. We were there a couple of years ago, heard some Gregorian chants etc...is in a beautiful setting in Tuscany, but fairly small and not really spectacular. Of course anything like this has BEAUTY in its own way.

The spelling is "Sant Antimo". This is a beautiful and haunting abbey. Worth a trip if you are in the area.

There is no town called Sant Antimo. Closest town is Castelnouvo dell Abate - get a better map. Beautuful setting - take lots of pictures. Countryside around there is worth exploring also.
