Where is Marcialla (sp?)

A friend said he was taking a tour in Italy and that his home base was a small town called Marciala--I probably don't have the proper spelling. Does any one know where this town is? I think it's in Tuscany

I just did a Google search for "Marcialla Italy," and there is such a town. It is a village in the Chianti region (Tuscany), overlooking the Elsa valley.

Perhaps Montichiello-- aVERY small town population 120 near Pienza?

Any other answers?

Marcialla is indeed a wonderful small village overlooking the Elsa valley. It is near Certaldo, and is in Tuscany. Day trips from here would include Firenze, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, etc. It is peaceful and quiet, no nightlife. I think you would enjoy it.
