Where is Epping Forest?
 

I was just listening to old 'Genesis' music. A song on 'Selling England by the Pound' from 1974 is called 'The battle of Epping Forest'.

It is south of Epping on the M25 NE of London, It is a large parklans that is about 2 miles wide and probably 10 or miles long.

oops - I meant "10 or more miles long"

If you've ever seen Peter Gabriel's video for "Shock the Monkey", the outdoor woodsy scenes were filmed in Epping Forest.

Thank you both.<BR><BR>Trying to decipher the lyrics, it sounds like it was almost turned into a housing tract in the '70s.<BR><BR>I did find a copy of the video to watch. Fairly grainy, but I got the gist.<BR>
