Where in Europe in November?
If you were going to spend a week somewhere in Europe during roughly Thanksgiving week (Nov. 18-25), where would you spend it for best monetary leverage and least awful weather? I've recently been to Hungary and the Czech Republic, and have been to the Italian Cities of Rome, Florence & Venice. I'd be flying out of Salt Lake City.

Sicily or Crete !

A good value destination for lower on-the-ground expenses in western Europe with decent weather is Lisbon, Portugal.

Bobthenavigator, I love your ideas. On my list.

Flyboy,
This is a seriously good idea. Prices as low as $950 each air & hotel. And food quality & price look good too. Looking for packages! |
You have no guarantee of better weather in Sicily in November than you would in much of the rest of Italy. Also, it is not necessarily cheap to go to Sicily -- certainly not cheaper than the rest of Italy.
It's a great place -- but if you are counting on sunny skies for six days, you could be disappointed. |
