where else should i go?

I will be spending 4 days in rome and 3 in venice around new year. AM thinking of going to florence for a day trip from rome. I have 3 days left so where shall i spend them?

While you're in the area, go to Siena, San Gimingano and Cinqe Terra.

There is too much to see in Florence for a day trip. Spend your time in Florence with a day trip to San G. or Siena.

I love Naples and Pompeii.<BR><BR>Lots to see and yet very relaxing.

Kelda -<BR><BR>I agree that Florence for the remainder with a day trip or two would be a good choice. It's between Rome and Venice - so it's convenient. There's a lot to see. I've heard that Florence is wonderful during the Christmas season [I love it any season!] And you won't be running yourself too ragged by going really out of the way...<BR><BR>Enjoy - whatever you choose...<BR><BR>Dona

Absolutely Florence for the 3 days. Take a day trip to one of the Tuscan towns if you get bored with Florence.
