Where do you look for reviews?

Where do you look for reviews of hotels etc. other than this board?

Good question? Are you talking strictly other boards or things on the web or can we venture to books, etc. as well?

Sometimes it depends on the country.<BR>For Paris hotels, for example,<BR>there are comments from past hotel guests at www.paris.org and <BR>www.hotelboulevard.com<BR>I have great respect for <BR>Sandra Gustafson's books: Cheap Sleeps in Paris, Cheap Sleeps in Italy, etc.I think she's changing the titles to<BR>"Great Sleeps..."<BR>And elsewhere on this Fodor's website,<BR>the hotel listings and the Rants and Raves sections, are very helpful, as are some of the hotel listings on<BR>Frommers.com<BR>I also save hotel articles from magazines like National Geographic Traveler,<BR>Conde Nast Traveler, Gourmet, newspapers, etc.

I was thinking primarily of websites.

I trust Elaine on this one. I bow to the master (or mistress).

I run the hotel's name in the "search" window and read as many reviews as I can find.

Also, Travelocity has "user reviews" in the lodging section of their website...

Usually I'll hear about a place I'd like to try in one of my French magazines
