This thread is now too long so I'll start a new one to welcome new posters. Lately there have been some threads frozen or deleted due to turning ugly. I think some of our new posters felt they were insulted or hurt by a few posters. Some have surly personalities but it doesn't mean it's directed at you, some who are so bright and talented, jump at eachother anytime they can, when they could be friends, sharing the same interests. the weather that has dangerously threatened friends and relatives has understandably frazzled some, so as summer comes to her end, and we are heading towards the holiday season, lets try for a gentler nicer end to this year.

I was born in the naval hospital in Portsmouth, VA, on the coast. But for five years when I lived just north of Philadelphia, I have lived in the Tidwater area. Currently in Chesapeake, VA. I love this area - it is on the ocean, 3 hours to the Blue Ridge Mountains and 1&amp; 1/2 hour to the Outer Banks of NC. Williamsburg and James Town are about 45 minutes away. DC is about 3 &amp; 1/2 hours away. Lots and Lots of American History very close. Of course the humidity in the summer is brutal - but if you are on the beach - who cares?
