Where can I find timetables for trains from Amsterdam to Lille

Greetings,

We plan to travel to Lille after a few days in Amsterdam. I find the routing Amsterdam-Lille on the RailEurope.com site and the ticket price, but no time schedule. Can someone please direct me to the time schedule for that train? Many thanks.

Take care,
Robyn France

RobynFrance,

Here is a link to a site which will allow you find the timetable you need;

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

Although this is a German site it's in English & cover train schedules outside Germany - I used it to get details of an upcoming trip to Italy.

I put in Amsterdam to Lille as a test & found several services of varying journey lengths, but of course it will depend on what date you intend to travel. You might want to note that you will be asked to specify which particular station in Amsterdam you want to travel from - I'm guessing that in your case it will be Centraal.

Hope this helps,

Jim

Trains lv Amsterdam Centraal station every hour at :23 after the hour, taking 2 hrs to Antwerpen Berchem station, get off and transfer to Lille trains which leave Berchem at :06 mins after every hour, and take 1 hr 40 min to get to Lille Flandres station (and not Lille Europe for Eurostar trains - a 1/2 walk on a walkway away). Thus leave Amsterdam at 9:23, arrive Lille 13:46 (1:46 pm) - check bahn site to see if these are current. There are also Thalys trains that would go to Ansterpen but these cost $12-30 more depending on class and require reservations - you can reserve other ones but rarely you won't find empty seats, especially in first class.

Thank you so much Pal Q. We are trying to work out some details as it appears that some of the car rental places are closed at the Lille-Flanders station on Saturdays. We are getting quotes from other rental agencies to see who might be open.

I would think that the Lille Europe station within view of Flandres station would have car rentals on Sunday if any place does as this is where Eurostar trains from Paris stop. there is a dedicated walkway between the two stations.
