Another thought about posts that get lots of responses -- many of them are not asking for anything terribly specific and some not even travel related (cross word puzzle thread is booming).

When it's a wider topic, like 'What not to do in Paris' or 'Having a picnic in Luxembourg Gardens'... well then alot more people possibly have something to contribute.

I must agree witht he fact it is tiresome to answer posts and never get so much of merci. Even worse wg=hen you get flamed for your opinion by someone who doesn;t even answer the question just insults the ones who do. Last but not least I am fed up witht he grammar/spelling police. Last I checked this was a travel forum not a MSAT training course.

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES. Actually, I do thank people for their help. I also thank in advance as well, and NOT because I don't want to take the time afterwards. Wow! Don't take this so personally Christina. Someone done you wrong? This site is about travel and things surrounding travel. I just wondered about lack of replies and it opened a whole can of worms that don't even pertain to the original question. I have NEVER been told I had poor manners. Quite the contrary. I didn't mean to get such a rise out of certain posters. As mentioned in my last post, don't reply if you don't have anything to respond on the subject or you don't like my post. I can't please everyone. None of us can. Let's try to enjoy this site for the wealth of info we get about what we all love to do.... TRAVEL! Happy Trails!

I just got a personal thank you from someone on my hotmail account. I was really thrilled to know that my assistance was so appreciated.

I haven't noticed the grammar/spelling police around much these days, mrsbu. I consider it a kindness (that I would appreciate myself) to correct someone on the spelling of a popular place name or attraction, e.g., Stonehenge not Stonehedge.
