Does it make any difference for someone with exertion-induced asthma as to whether they are exercising in dry air or humid air? Puglia is a quite dry region of Italy and is noted for its cycling routes, although I don't think there are any riverside routes. But the Po river routes in northern Italy would be quite humid, maybe a bit more to the east but not a lot of dry air in the west either.

I think of Swiss mountains as being dry as bone, but don't what it is like around the lakes.

sandralist,

Don't know how much humidity affects exercise-induced asthma, but I would guess dry air is better.

Although I rarely use it, I have an inhaler. My daughter laughed that on our bike trip it seemed like I was Superman after I used it, so I guess it's helpful.
