When will the parcel I shipped myself from Paris arrive?

While in Paris last month, shipped two boxes to myself in USA (books, museum guides, paper) by La Poste by class "economique." Both have tracking numbers and I have the receipts dated October 26th. My error for not sending them Prioritare. Does anyone have any idea how long before they arrive?

I don't know if this will be helpful to you, but I can only estimate when my boxes arrived from France.
I mailed two boxes to myself last year. One from Arles and one from Marseille. Both took quite a while. The box from Marseille, which was mailed a week after the one from Arles, arrived at least one week before the box I'd mailed earlier.
I think that it took from four to six weeks, so your boxes will likely arrive in a week or two.

I have also mailed packages to myself from London and from Ireland. Both took at least one month.

I did the same with books, guides, small extra items of clothing, etc. In spite of the fact that I clearly printed the US City, State, Zip Code and Country, my two parcels from Paris had a much more adventurous trip than I! Apparently misreading my city name, which ends in "Island", someone launched my parcels off to Iceland, where they lounged about for quite some time before freeing themselves and making their way to me some three months after mailing. Hope you didn't mail anything you can't live without!

I had a bronze sculpture shipped from Les Baux to Toronto, and it arrived (intact) in 2.5 weeks. I don't recall any unusual instructions or expediting procedures connected with it.

I know this is a european page but I must tell you thatI mailed a package to Argentina and one to Brazil back on Sept 29 and neither one has arrived as yet.I checked with our post office here in Boston, MA. USA and was told that both packages left New York for So. America the day after I mailed them.

World wide postal service is at an all time low.

International packages can take a very long time to arrive. Allow at least 2 months before you even start to be concerned.

Sending them Priority doesn't necessarily help. And some postal services send some or all packages via private courrier services, which is even less reliable than standard postal services. I've been waiting for a package from the other side of the Channel for two months; the UK ships all postal packages by private courrier today, and the courrier is incompetent.

Minimum 2 weeks, maximum 3 months. Package and address display is important. Use machine printed address. Print them at home, take them with you. Note PO address display. Cover with clear tape. Take a roll with you. Enclose duplicate address in package. Use clear tape to make neat package. No strings or such. I have been in POs, There are always piles of letters and packages laying about with undecipherable addresses. Be sure the ZIP code is included.
