When to try for Scavi tour

Hi everyone,

We have a 1:00 Vatican tour through Context scheduled in May and an 11:00 Borghese Gallery tour pending for the following day also with Context. How long is the Borghese tour and do you think we can try and schedule a Scavi tour for the same day we do the Borghese? Are there any days they do not run the Scavi tours? I need to try and make reservations ASAP since this is for May. I'm probably already late!

The Borghese Gallery tour is two hours. There is a Scavi Tour in English at 1:45, but that would be cutting it very close since you have to pick up your tickets 10 minutes before.

I did my Scavi tour at around 8:00 a.m. so if you did the early one, you would have plenty ot time to get to Borghese by 11:00.

The Scavi is certainly a hot topic on the Forum, and I'm currently working on a website for the Necropolis. If anyone is interested, it's located at:

didi...I just received confirmation of my Scavi tour today. I emailed my request mid-Feb. My tour is scheduled for April 26t so you should email them asap.

Thanks everyone! I did email Scavi and received the automatic response saying they received my request. If I don't hear from them in a few weeks.
