When to buy airline tickets for sumemr 2002 trip?

I will be traveling in Europe in summer 2002 from early June til early July. I will be flying into Amsterdam from Tampa and out of Paris back to Tampa. Currently, the best airfare is $843.00. When is the best time to start looking for reasonable airfares or did I already find the reasonable price? Thanks!

Apologies for the typos - since I know the perfectionists of the forum will certainly point them out. Blame it on the broken finger. :)
Looks like you may have it. Compare that with Icelandair's fare out of Orlando.... it's hard to beat their fares.

This is OK price and if you know your dates just get it. It is never too early if you see a good price. We just got our tickets from EWR to AMS and NBO for our June trip. In 1999 we paid for the tickets on the same exactly route almost twice more when we waited to buy them two months before our trip. I would buy it.

I'm no expert and don't know how relevant this would be for travel from Tampa to Amsterdam, but....Yesterday I was checking on prices from New York to Paris for a May 2002 trip, and a very helpful agent at Air France gave me two solid bits of advice:
1. Definitely wait until December or January before buying tickets as the prices should be much lower.
2. Try to arrange your trip so that each part of the round trip is on a day between Monday and Thursday, when prices are the lowest.
(Incidentally, the prices I got on both Expedia and Travelocity this week were no different from the prices quoted by the airlines themselves.)
