When iRome where do the Romans go in the rain

We're getting ready to leave for Rome in several days and it looks like they are predicting rain for our first several days. We have 3 kids ages 4,7 and 10. Any suggestions for rainy day activities? Thanks!

I've been there in light and very heavy rain.
My wife believes that heavy rain is sent by God to verify that she should be shopping.
Besides shopping, the Vatican is perfect for rainy days as is Castle St. Angelo, the Pantheon, many other churches, the Capitoline museums, the Borghese gallery, the Capuchini bone chapel, etc.
If it continues to rain, ignore it and with the aid of a good umbrella, explore. Make sure and bring good rain slicks for the kids.
The kids especially should like St. Angelo and the Capuchin church.
Don't forget the gelato.

Thanks. We have a feeling that gelato will be our motivating force throughout the trip!

If it's raining or very hot, we like to take our girls to the Explora Children's Museum on Via Flamina, north of Piazza del Popolo. Hands on activities with lots of room to run around. If it is going to rain for a while, stick around the Piazza Navona area where there are a lot of churches to go into and two toy stores on the Piazza, Berte and Al Sogno. Be sure to go to the Pantheon so they can see the rain coming in through the oculus.
