When does spring come to London
I am considering going to London next March (mid month) and was wondering if it will be at all spring like by that time. I mean will there be any flowers, grass green, etc. I don't expect hot sunny weather but thought it might be somewhat spring like by then. In New England where I live there is still snow on the ground and not a hint of a bud on anythng in March so I want something a little spring like but that is the only time I can go. I know Paris has flowers and trees blooming by then. What can I expect in London? I know temperatures vary from year to year but how a place looks is generally somewhat consistent.Thank you

March/April the daffodils and tulips were out in Hyde Park when we were there one year.

When I was in London in mid-March, 2001, I was pleasantly surprised at how Spring-ish it was. Most of the trees were still bare, but the grass was very green and lush. Flowers were blooming in the parks and in windowboxes. The temperature was great for walking: mid to upper fifties during the day, and it rained less than I had expected.

In mid March, the cherry blossoms in Regent's Park are at their best.

Oh thank you. That's just what I wanted to hear.

On the other hand, it snowed on me in London one April. Brrrrrrr. Sorry!
