When does peak season end for Amalfi Coast ferries?

Will there still be late afternoon ferries in mid-September? Stayed in Sorrento several tears ago. Now looking to stay in Amalfi, Positano or another coastal town on ferry line. Any recommendations? Is there a hotel shuttle access from Ravello to the ferries if we look at staying in Ravello?

You'll perhaps get an idea from this compilation of one line's schedules for 2010...

At any one time they only post the current version, so for precise details you'll need to look nearer when you'll be travelling - with one day or another in mid-September, around the school restart date, being an important change!

Also, although I've never been able to fathom their start and finish dates, you can also try...

I've never heard of a shuttle from Ravello.

You are best off staying on the coast if you want to daytrip by ferry.

My only recommendation is to remind you that there are many towns along this coast. Almost everyone on this forum ignores that fact, and confines their search to the most famous towns.

Impossible to recommend hotels without a price guideline and other info from you.

High time it was updated (so do crosscheck the times, prices etc!), but for fairly comprehensive details of the various resorts along the Sorrento Peninsula and Amalfi Coast, you may like to download the useful 'Travel Directory' from the official tourism website, here...
