When Does Berthillon Re-open???
 

Does anyone know the projected re-opening date after summer vacation??

I think it has a very traditional closing schedule and might be closed through August 31st -- but Berthillon ice cream is available at other locations, including on the Ile Saint Louis.
The Berthillon website does not give any dates.

If Berthillon on Ile St Louis is closed go to Amorino for gelato. It's fabulous, as good, if not better than Berthillon's ice cream. There are other locations in Paris.

Someone elsewhere here sad they re-open when the new shipment of Breyer's arrives in Paris.

I'd prefer Dreyer's instead of Breyer's. Anyhow, Berthillon should reopen beginning of September. As another poster advised try Amorino. Everyone I know who tried both places favor Amorino better-plus it's cheaper.

hard to say which is better. Amorino is great (better than anything we get here in the states) but it's hard to compare it to Berthillon. Amorino is Italian gelato style, Betihillion is unlike anything I've ever had before, very "fruity" (the pear flavor is unbelievable). Both are wonderful, of course
