When can I book summer w/ EasyJet

I read in an earlier post that someone had already booked their summer 05 flight with Easy Jet. When I go to the Easy Jet website, I can only book as far as the end of March. Anyone know when the June fares might be listed? Also, any feedback on Easy Jet? The prices seem too low to be true!

elaine, I'm not sure what you're doing. I recently got an email from Easy Jet announcing that summer fares can now be booked. I just went to their site and checked several places and could book through October of 2005.

Yes, they do seem too good to be true. We flew London Stansted to Naples for something like 20 pounds each (actually higher than sometimes because it was the beginning of a bank holdiday weekend. The year before we flew London Luton to Nice for something like 14 pounds each.

The deal is that the earlier you book, the cheaper it is. As they sell off seats, the prices go higher.

Our two experiences were simply great. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

Maybe you were following a link to that sale which is limited to spring? Just go to www.easyjet.com and start from there.

There are a couple of catches with easyjet:

1) You must get to the airport early. When check in is closed it is closed and you are out of luck. They do not put you on another flight and your ticket is worthless. Easyjet sometimes has long lines at the airport.

2) They have lower baggage allowance than major airlines and charge alot for excess baggage.

Otherwise they are nice and efficient.

In our two trips we allowed plenty of time to get to the airport and check in at EasyJet was very quick and efficient (the way it should be with other airlines).
Both times we were traveling for several months and we each had a pretty heavy, large rolling duffel as well as a packed carryon. We were definitely overweight. In one case she mentioned we were overweight. Nothing was said further and we weren't charged in either case.

A Brit behind us told us it was because we were Americans and they like foreign travelers using Easy Jet, not just UK people. Don't know if that was it or not.

Bottom line..you haven't been to the EsyJet site lately. The booking is open through at least August and has been for some weeks. I know because I booked a flight Athens-Gatwick at least three weeks ago for 7 August.

Go back and try again.

Hi Elaine.
I've already booked for Luton to Paris and then on to Toulouse. We go out in August and the return is on the 4th September, so they're booking that far ahead at least.
Ryanair seem to be booking only to the end of August at the moment.
According to our terms and conditions, we have 20kg luggage allowance for each passanger, so that's not exactly tiny.

I just booked a round trip from Paris to Pisa ( near florence). Very easy and efficient. For a trip of 1100 Km each way, it was about $100 Canadian per person including taxes.

The site is www.easyjet.com

i also booked a hotel in Pisa through the same site - extremely efficient.

I had been trying to book from Paris to Marsielles. It jus dawned on me (after reading several posts) to try again. It seems that there are no flights from Paris to Marsielles. I tried Paris to Nice, and had no problem. I feel like an idiot! Thanks for the helpful advice!
