Wheather in october - Italy

Hi. Well, how is, generally, the weather, in october, in Italy? warm? rainy? 20celsius or less?
Thank you.

Good afternoon, Carla,

My husband and I spent a wonderful 2-1/2 weeks in Italy in October 2002, and the weather was absolutely splendid. The days were typically sunny and mild and the evenings were cool enough to require a light jacket. The daytime highs averaged 70 Farenheit. We did experience two days of rain while we were in Tuscany, but it was shortlived both days. We love traveling in October, and I think you will enjoy it, too! Good luck.

We had beautiful weather in Italy last October [and I had similar October weather many years ago].

The same for us at Santa Margarita Ligure, first two weeks in October. Just one day of rain.

Two years ago we were in Italy in late October & early November - and it got really cold! That didn't stop the mob scenes in Rome & Florence.
Suggestion: go early October and/or September.

I've been twice during that month and it was usually in the 70's F during the day and sweater weather at night. Only rained in the evening. Check www.weather.com

Carla you might want to say where you plan to travel; Italy has different weather zones just like most countries and the temperatrue is not going to be the same in Palermo as it is in Verona.

Rome in the middle of October was a wonderful time for us in 2005.
