what's your favorite pub in Kilkenny?

I'm leaving for my trip to Irelkand and Scotland in about 2 weeks and I've got three different guide books that all list about 5 entirely different pubs in Kilkenny. What are your favorites? I like a traditional kind of place with decent pub grub.

While it is not really a "PUB", more like a Bar, we really enjoyed a place called 'Paris,Texas' . We stopped in for lunch one day - sat upstairs to people watch over the balcony, and then for Dinner the next day. All of the Food was really good. It is pretty much dead center on the main street.

it was really everything.
Lunch was a "carvary" which is a really nice buffet type line, where you can choose from 3 or 4 hot dishes, Soup, Carved Beef or pork, desert, fruit etc. Everything is either a la carte, or you can get a Carvary meal for 7 or 8 euros. Trust me - this would be your big meal of the day. We had Soup & rolls and desert for around 5 or 6 (?)

Dinner was good too - under our budget of under 20&euros; per person , easily.
I think I had a salmon pasta. My mom had a Chicken caesar salad, Dad had something with a bit more of a tex mex kick, and my brother had some seafood extravaganza. They really had quite a selection, with a kind of big-bistro attitude towards service. Our waiter was fabulous. We really liked it there.
