Annabelle, thee's a coincidence - the only veg my brother would eat as a child were corn and raw carrots. Boys, eh. He had a friend who ate nothing but tomato sandwiches (white sliced bread, natch).

I feel left out. I wasn't served peas at all during my trip to England. I think I need to go back so I can have some peas!

I did get served leeks when I was in Wales though. :)

Taking a leek in Wales beats taking a pea in London any day.

putting corn into tuna is a brit thing? really? That's so funny..I've been doing that for years (American of Italian heritage here). Never knew that..

I think I was British in a past life. Just the other day I came across some old spelling tests from school. I kept getting marked wrong by spelling words like "colour" and "honour". What in the world made me do that at such a young age I have no idea..

We were not served many peas in England, either, but did see a lot of rocket.

Miss Z - I did that too on spelling tests! For me, it was from reading too many Agatha Christie mysteries.

I love peas - pea salad, pea soup, as a side dish - yum.
