What's are the top hotels Old Town Prague?

Hello,

I want to book 4 nights in Old Town Prague and just wondering what you would recommend? Price is not really an issue, just looking for something unique, in a great location. Perhaps, even somewhere haunted (which I realize is common in Old Town!)

Thanks for your help!

Oh pleasae, "haunted?" get real

No actually - there is no such thing as "haunted". And many of the hotels listed as "in" the old town really aren't. I haven't succeded in finding a relly good hotel in the old town yet.

Can't help with the haunted request, but we very much enjoyed the Hotel Savic.

I forgot to mention that, although the website says the hotel is in the "centre of Old Town Square Prague," it's actually located two short blocks from one edge of the square.

I can't help with the "haunted" requirement either, but I liked the Hotel Maximilian, which is a few short blocks from the Old Town Square (it looks farther on the map but the walk is less than 10 minutes). It's in the Old Town, although not actually on the square itself, and it borders the Josefov area. It's close to Hotel Josef, which also gets good reviews.

This is now the Hotel Paris and very close to the old town square. www.hotel-pariz.cz Information for download on Prague. Richard www.inyourpocket.com/chech-republic/prague

Have you thought about an apartment? We stayed in this one. Clean, big and comfortable. Perhaps the stairwell was haunted:). Location was great with good restaurants very close by and a two minute walk from Charles Bridge. The best bit about it however was the owner Mira: full of helpful advice, history lessons and a wonderful sense of humour.

Some people believe and others don't. Such is life. But for those that believe - it is probably hard to find an old building that doesn't have some residual energy from the centuries of souls who have inhabited that building. So from that standpoint, there are probably plenty of "haunted" hotels. I am planning a trip to Prague this summer and haven't come across any hotels that advertise hauntings though - any that have a specific ghost or whatever that people claim to see.

Check the website for the Hotel U Prince, https://www.hoteluprince.com/hotel-en. It is diagonally opposite the astronomical clock and has a great rooftop bar. It is not haunted, to my knowledge.

Delaine: This is a nearly 2 year old thread. Sure the OP isn't still looking. (It was topped by an advertiser)

It's OK Delaine--things happen. Happy Holidays
