Whatever happened to the Players' Club in London?

In 1999, we attended a Players' Music Hall Venue - and had dinner beforehand in their dining room. It was wonderful entertainment and very nice food also.
We thoroughly enjoyed the "Chairman" and all the old-fashioned comedy and music.
If they have closed (what a pity) is there another venue with this kind of entertainment? I guess it was the forerunner to US burlesque perhaps, but much kinder and gentler and a great deal of fun.

Pushing this on up in hopes that some Brits will find it and comment.

They've moved to The Venue in Leicester Square (by the Prince Charles Cinema)

They are the successors to The Players from the theater Under the Arches in Villiers Street, which closed a while back...artistic differences, lease problems? I don't really know. But there had been a Music Hall under the Arches for many many years.
The website is www.playerstheatre.co.uk

Enjoy, they are loads of fun

David and Pandajudy,
Thanks for your replies and comments. David, I looked up that website, but there doesn't seem to be any activity. Maybe closed for the summer.

Yes Pandajudy, Under the Arches is where the theatre was. I'm so sorry they closed.
Are there any other Music Halls with this sort of entertainment in London?

There's the Brick Lane Music Hall. I've never been so can't comment, but it offers the same sort of thing.

There used to be one in Tottenham Court Rd, but that's changed into a Spearmint Rhino, so unless that sort of thing tickles your fancy missus.....

David, Never having heard of "Spearmint Rhino" I thought maybe you had taken a former poster's advice (on Absinthe). But then I googled for it and no, thank you, not my cup of tea!

There has to be some sort of a story with a name like that?

But anyway, thanks for the Brick Lane Music Hall suggestion.
