What to wear on the plane en route to Lyon?

I go to Paris often..not Lyon. I am heading for Nice in early October as I have rented a beautiful apartment in Villefranche-sur-Mer.

When traveling to Paris I dress "Parisian" conservatively, both color and style. But, my trip to Nice will be different. I am going to wear a very nice navy Liz jogging suit. It has small white stripes on legs and sleeves. I am going to be sooo comfortable on the plane!! I will also look better than most of whatI see when traveling!! My international part of the flight will be direct JFK to NCE, arriving at 9:00 AM..I will be met at the airport and transported to my nearby apartment. I don't think I will look "badly" and I will certainly be comfortable!!

Marianna,

What a surprise!! Yes, I will look forward to hearing from you when you return.

Yes, Rob and Mandy are great! It is such a super location for everything, and what could be more beautiful!!

We have a lot of plans while there. We will be going to Les Baux area for an overnight trip so that I can show off the area that I am also quite familiar with.

Will look forward to hearing more from you.........

a bientot......

Joan,
Since you are familiar with the area, can you suggest some good restaurants in the Villefranche-sur-mer area? We do plan to do some cooking in the apartment - maybe breakfast and a few dinners and dine on the terrace while enjoying the spectacular view - but we also want to go out to eat.

Thanks for any suggestion you may have.

Marianna,

Here is some info from my friend Underhill who posts often...a great restaurant..not in the immediate area though:

Anyone who ever ate at Jean-Pierre Silva's 1*(and at one time 2*)restaurant Le Vieux Moulin in the tiny hamlet of Bouilland, Burgundy, will remember how his food sang in the mouth. Last February Silva upped and sold the restaurant/hotel to move to Provence, where in June he opened a new, small restaurant in Le Rouret, near the town of Grasse. It's called, appropriately, La Table de Mon Moulin.
>
> The restaurant offers prix-fixe menus only, lunch and dinner, with 6 courses for 47€. The restaurant is open Monday-Friday: lunch hours are 12:30--1:30; dinner is 8:00-9:00. Silva himself is in the kitchen. The telephone number for reservations (remember: no reservation, no table!) is 011-33-4-93.77.39.30; call well ahead, as the dining rooms seats only about 15. The address is 158 route de Nice, and I'll definitely be there in September 2004.
>
> Silva's restaurant should be interesting competition for Maximin, who is just over the hill in Vence. Hm....

I will be going there..you can also find many area good restaurants from the Fodors site..you could also post the question and get updated info...for both of us!!!
