What to see in the Greek Isles?

We are cruising around the Greek Isles, stopping at Santorini, Mylos and Corfu. Apart from the normal off shore tours the cruise company suggest can anyone recommend what's worth seeing.

Thanks.

Santorini has a whole other culture at the beaches on the other side of the island. You can catch a local bus or a taxi there in no time at all.

You may get more replies if you tell us what the off shore tours are going to cover.

Hi

On Santorini, I strongly suggest going to a restaurant with caldera views. If you can do this at sunset, better still. If you're feeling energetic you can walk from Fira to Imerovigli for spectacular views. I believe there is a track that can take you all the way to Oia. I'm sure other Fodorites will provide more details about this otherwise you'll find out when you're there. If you're into wine, there are vineyards you can do. Hire a car - not only can you visit the vineyards but you can also have a look at the beaches cathies suggested. Perissa is nice and the Red beach is different.

Thanks for your help. We have all day in Corfu and we have the opportunity to be offered a package of exploring Corfu by 4x4 for AUD$194. Do you think this is good value for money?

I enjoyed Corfu, I'm just wondering where they are driving you to for the money? You can hit Corfu Town and a beach and pretty much get the idea, it's a nice island.

I second the Fira to Imerovigli walk, it's so beautiful and great for photo ops. Could be hot though. Fira town is really fun and wonderful at sunset. Lots of great tavernas and shopping and just a magical vibe. Enjoy it!

How long will you have in Corfu? Renting a car may not be good value for the time.

Thanks for the feedback. As we are coming off a cruise, for this stop we will only have the day. Love your ideas.
