what to see in central Europe

We are going to spend 2 weeks in June in Central Europe. We do not know what sights to see. We are considering Germany, Northern Italy, Austria,Switzerland or France. What are the favorite places you would suggest to visit?

In two weeks I would narrow it down to one or two countries. All those locations should have good weather in June so where you go really depends on what you enjoy and your budget.

Switzerland/France/Italy will probably be more expensive than Germany/Austria.

To clarify your request: You will be traveling to 5 countries in 2 weeks and are looking for a list of towns to visit based on other people's opinions?

Northern Italy: Bellagio
France: Lourmarin, St-Remy, Saorge, Tourettes-sur-Loup

If you really want 2 weeks in Central Europe (I don't consider France or Italy central) I'd do Munich/Bavaria, Salzburg, and Vienna.

If you like bigger cities make sure to see Berlin.

If you like hiking do a week in Switzerland.

Maybe Lake Constance, Vienna, Lake Esterharzy and Lake Balaton
That gives you bird life, zepplin museums, lake museums, Vienna, the Esterhazy palace, Spas, good wine, dentistry (no really)

Why did you pick a region if you have no idea what to do and see there? May I suggest a little reading for a start? We won't plan your entire trip for you...
