What to see between Nice and Monte Carlo?

We are traveling from Nice to Monte Carlo where we will board our ship for our cruise. What do you recommend seeing between Nice and Monte Carlo? Villages, shops, restaurants, etc...... And ideas on car services to take us so that we can take our time as well.

Thanks!

If you are making the trip with your luggage in tow, you will be limited in the amount of exploring you can do. If you are renting a hire car, then you will be probably limiting yourself to stopping for a few hours and moving on. This excludes some nice coastal paths that can be walked - Cap Ferrat peninsula, Cap d'Ail to Monaco.

Villefranche has an impressive citadel and an interesting small church, the interior of which was painted by Cocteau.
Nearby Beaulieu has the Villa Kerylos while between the two towns, out on the Cap Ferrat peninsula, the Villa Ephrussi Gardens are well worth seeing.
The village of Eze gives you great views of the coast.

Ditto:

Eze---our favorite hilltown
Monaco---the Palace, fabulous
Villefranche-sur-Mer----just adorable
Cap Ferrat---Rosthchild Museum & Gardens, outstanding
Bealieau-sur-Mer----Villa Keryolos , very impressive

Rent a car, the driving is quite easy and you can stop where you want.

Bear in mind that this is only about 12 miles and 30 minutes from Nice into the port at Monte Carlo. Eze is away from the coast, so it all depends on how much time you have and whether you consider that hiring a car is worthwhile.

If you hire a car and driver, ask at your hotel for recommendations.
