What to do with luggage prior to hotel check in

I'm arriving at Heathrow at 7am (never arrived so early before) Check in time at the Knightsbridge hotel is 2pm. Wondering if it's not unusual for one to drop off luggage and return later at regular check in time. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to do!

Thanks.

Most hotels will let you leave your luggage with them and return. I've been surprised several times when I tried to do that. They've said 'oh, your room is ready now'. So you can put your luggage in your actual room. Of course, sometimes that means it's hard to leave!

Hi helrot, although I have never had the pleasure to visit London I have never had a problem with an early arrival regarding luggage. Just go to the hotel. They will put your luggage in their baggage room (be sure they give you a receipt) and then will bring it to your room after you check in later. And if your lucky, they might just have a room already prepared that they can give you. I have had that happen a lot.

BTW, if you have a late flight when you check out of the hotel (generally around 12:00 noon) you can have the hotel hold the luggage for you and you can pick it up later also.

Have a beautiful trip.

dropping off luggage is commonplace for most hotels and most will gladly accomodate, especially in the UK.

And if they won't stow your luggage for you, just sit in the lobby, surrounded by your luggage looking tired and bedraggled. They'll get you a room as soon as they can. ;)

Fantastic - thanks for the info.
