Everyone is different. I have a difficult time with jet lag, so allow myself several days kicking around at my own speed. Eat when you want, nap when you want, morning crepes or pastries and coffee, drink wine in a sidewalk cafe, catch sun in a park with a picnic lunch from a bakery.

we're going back! Our plans are to simply rest on arrival day as it is after an overnite flight. Day two we plan to languish at a hamman(perhaps next to the Paris Mosque) with steams, gommages and massages. Then I'd say back home for a nap and perhaps dinner at Astier.

For any early morning "starter" I might suggest a walk over to Notre Dame and then a walk along the river.
