What to do in Geneva for 4 days?

I have read the "Fodors" suggestion of what I should do in Geneva for 4 days. I will be there the first week of August. Is there anything I "must" do in addition or replace in that itinerary? I wanted to take a train for a day trip somewhere. Any recommendations?

See the post "Is Geneva worth 1 day?" down about #60 right now.

And I just topped a thread titled "...your favorite things to do in Montreux?" which has lots of suggestions for within ~1 hour of Geneva.

Thanks Suze. I didn't get to check this reply until late today. I'll find/read the postings.

Bonjour Vini,

First week of August is "Fêtes de Genève", a kind of huge carnival on the lakeside, with free concerts in the parks and all kinds of animations in the streets.
