What to do in Edinburgh and Glasgow - Scotland

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are planning to visit Scotland in mid June. We will spend 2 days in Edinburgh and 2 days in Glasgow. We want to get some ideas of what to do there and where is a good area to stay (find hotels).

We are in our early forties and we like exploring new places and take good pictures.

This will be our first time visiting Scotland.

Thanks in advance for our input.

A simple google click should get you more information than you ever wanted.

Here's one to start with...

Check out Mons Meg in the castle, take the Whisky Museum tour, vistit the camera obscura and anything else you might want to do.

glasgow is beautiful - the hilton grosvenor, is a great hotel. from there you can go to glasgow town centre for a day and night, then the next day you could take a 30 minute train journey to balloch and you would be on the shores of loch lomond - a truly beautiful site.
