What to do in Brussels
 

I am travelling to Brussels at the end of Feb. for 2 days. Does anyone have ideas on the best way to spend them?

Go see the Horta museum, and I have been told that the relatively new Music museum is well worth a visit.

Why are you going to Brussels for two days?

I stopped in Brussels for lunch on my drive up to Amsterdam from Paris. I was far from impressed, but did noted some interesting museums, one next to the other, which seems convenient. I was actually far more impressed with the beautiful countryside.

brussels is a charming city and you will love it...the square is one of the best in europe.,..the city has been having a real rebirth the last few years and there are loads of new restaurants all around...the fish restaurant section of town is lovely for a stroll and a meal...you will find plenty to do for a couple of days...

Brussels is one of my favorite cities in Europe. If you're going to be spending time there, I would suggest you get a guide book and see what there is to do and see that might interest you. Since you didn't mention any particular interests, it's hard to do the crystal ball thing and figure out what might be good for you. Brussels has some of the most fabulous dining in all Europe, in case that's of interest. It also has great shopping and history. What are you looking for?

We are going to be in Brussels for 3 days in mid March. I am really looking forward to seeing this city so that I can form my own opinion of it.

It seems that some people really dislike Brussels and others love it!

I am anxious to see Grande Place and the Sablon area. Rue de Bouchers looks like an interesting street, with all the restaurants.

My husband wants to go to Beer Mania, which is near our hotel, Renaissance Brussels. We can't wait to sample the many different beers. The chocolate sounds pretty good too, although not with the beer!

I know that the Renaissance is a bit out of the way, but we are only paying $45/night thanks to Priceline. There is public transportation across the street.

We also plan to take the De Boeck's Hop on Hop off, bus tour, so that we can get an overview of all the sights.

We will try to eat at Skievelat Sablon, Chez Leon,Tout Bon, T'Kelderke and L'Amadeus. Can anyone comment on these restaurants?

Does this sound like a good plan? Am I leaving anything out that we really should see?
